KOIBIRD is a curated luxury boutique and online store based in Marylebone, London, where discovery is encouraged through a unique edit of emerging and established designers. Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a talented Retail Sales Assistant eager to join a brand that champions exploration, experimentation, and pushing the boundaries of creativity. With our constantly evolving seasonal aesthetics, our KOIBIRD store offers the perfect environment to innovate, think outside the box, and be creative with our KOI brands to deliver exciting styling and looks. You'll be able to work across various mediums engaging with our KOI clients, embracing a can-do attitude and a willingness to try new things.

· Highly motivated, creative and organised with an enthusiasm for connecting with people and collaborating.

· At least one years’ experience within a luxury retail environment with a track record of success in sales and an exciting client book.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with our KOI customer.

· Demonstrated love of fashion, art and culture.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Creative eye with a solid understanding of styling to empower our clientele.

· Extensive knowledge of KOIBIRD brands and interest in new emerging trends.

· KOIBIRD brand ambassador who communicates our values and brand philosophy to customers and KOI squad alike.

What you'll be doing:

· Provide outstanding one-to-one customer service to all clients including VIP's, in line with KOIBIRD standards.

· Build and maintain a loyal clientele and be accountable for customer data collection and management.

· Demonstrate and share strong brand and market knowledge with clients.

· Provide informed styling advice, by offering KOIBIRD’s unique and exclusive product range and excite customers with personalised product edits.

· Offer a multi-channel shopping experience, ensuring a seamless and augmented service.

· Strive to achieve your personal sales targets and contribute to the overall business targets through upselling and cross selling across categories.

· Monitor customer shopping behaviour and stock performance and provide valuable feedback to store manager.

· Identify and seek potential new clients and work closely with Manager to build these relationships, suggesting new ways to engage and delight.

· Provide individualised communication techniques to ensure the best customer experience and maximize selling opportunities.

· Take initiative with performing daily store operational tasks, such as keeping the shop floor well presented, merchandising, stock management and deliveries.

· Work collaboratively with store management and the wider team to ensure effective and collaborative working environment.

KOIBIRD is looking for an experienced and passionate Barista/Mixologist for our new café concept KOI.11. KOIBIRD has been working with a renowned practice – Euchronia Architects based in Paris to help reimagine the store. The ideal candidate will exhibit values based on our KOIBIRD ethos – Never Boring!

 

Main Duties

  • Demonstrate innovative skills in creating new menu items that reflect changing trends and seasons.
  • Show passion about Health and Wellness and inspire the team café team and the wider KOIBIRD team.
  • Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of equipment within the Cafe.
  • Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
  • Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences (for example vegan coffee drinks)
  • Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy.
  • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation.
  • Supporting the KOIBIRD Social Media Manager to interact directly with our customers through positive, engaging and creative KOI Café content  - promoting our unique concept, new drinks, etc.

KOIBIRD is a curated luxury fashion
boutique based in Marylebone, London. The brand offers discovery and excitement through a unique edit of emerging and established designers. The fashion boutique is launching a similarly curated, wellness and nutrition focused café
within the shop. Called KOI.11. A café that is unique and new to London, offering the best in adaptogenic drinks, wellness focused baked goods and various elixirs for the mind, body
and heart.

This is a part time baking
role for KOI.11
predominantly, with some potential for private baking for the owner.

The Role

KOIBIRD is seeking a skilled baker to join our team in creating delicious, innovative, and wellness-conscious pastries, protein balls, bars, bakes, pots, and desserts. If you have a passion for baking, are into food art, and creating healthy,  nutritious, creative menus, we would love to hear from you.

 

Main duties

  • Prepare, bake, decorate a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts and breakfasts, according to recipes and menu inspiration.
  • Follow directions and feedback of the creative team on what items to develop and cook, as well as provided inspiration and recipes.
  • Create and come up with recipes for innovative cakes, bars, bakes, protein balls, desserts, healthy pots with precision and creativity focusing on highest level
    of visual output that is on-brand. In the private role also following a strict
    diet.
  • If KOIBIRD has a customer event bake and help cater for that event
  • Develop menus, conduct research to create new and original recipes for food products of the café as well as in the private home.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets quality standards, ensure proper storage of all utensils, supplies, equipment. Oversee equipment and make sure it is up to
    standard and working properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace and a hygienic work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the private culinary and the café drinks team and creative director to meet and execute on customer /family demands.
  • Use the highest quality health focused supplements and ingredients and be able to source them and shop for them.
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies before they are used up.
  • Working early morning shifts.

Required Skills

  • Certification from a culinary school.
  • Experience in pastry cooking, cake decorating, and food handling ideally experience working in a health conscious,
    vegan, café.
  • High quality experience in cake decorating methods and
    techniques.
  • Knowledge of health and wellness cooking, new trending
    ingredients, food trends around the world.
  • A self starter, someone who is motivated to the highest
    standard.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques in a restaurant
    or kitchen setting
  • Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, ovens, dough sheeters to name a few.
  • Understanding of food safety practices, and clean,
    organic supply.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi
    task in a fast paced environment.

Terms

  • Mon- Friday, 7 am – 12pm
  • Saturdays: optional for extra pay
  • Extra hours for events are possible paid hourly
  • Place of work - Private kitchen in central London, some prep required in the KOIBIRD store.
