Hello! Fashion’s digital editor Natalie Salmon shows us what to wear and where to go
Words by Natalie Salmon
Ever since my eyes got glued to the telly thanks to the hit Netflix show, Drive to Survive, the Monaco Grand Prix has always been right at the top of my bucket list. The last time I was in the principality was when I was 14 for a family holiday, so needless to say what I’m packing looks a bit different to what it did in my indie sleaze days. The legendary F1 track and casino calls for a slightly more elevated wardrobe, although the Riviera is much more laid back than you’d imagine. Here's where to eat, play and stay:
WHERE TO STAY: The Maybourne Riviera
This newly opened hotel is part of the illustrious Maybourne Hotel Group which includes Claridge’s and The Connaught. Perfectly positioned between Menton and Monte Carlo, with plunging views across warm terracotta rooftops, you will love the infinity pool with its bright orange sun loungers and insane views of the world’s 2nd smallest country.

WHERE TO EAT: CIPRIANI
You can’t miss out on the cacio e pepe pasta from Cipriani. It’s an institution and the people-watching is unbeatable. If you’re really going for it, try the meringue cake for dessert. You’ll waddle home but it’s worth it.
WHAT TO WEAR WHEN:
WATCHING THE RACE
You’ll be walking around so comfort is key, opt for chic flat sandals and something you can stay cool in. I love this Maxi from Christopher Esber, it's casual enough for day but you can dress it up with sparkly earrings to head straight to dinner after.

CATCHING SOME RAYS
Groundbreaking I know, but I do love white on holiday. Every season I swoon over Adriana Degreas, her pieces are investments but they do ensure you’re the talk of the pool.
