Resort wear that will transport you anywhere

New to the KOIBIRD style stable, cult resort wear label Taller Marmo has been turning heads since Milan-based founders Riccardo Audisio and Yago Goicoechea dropped out of school to pursue their dream of making kaftans fabulous again. It’s safe to say they’ve succeeded, with their silk, fringed and feathered creations having captured the hearts of red carpet elite from actress Maya Rudolph to TV presenter and all-time millennial it girl Alexa Chung – and mine. So, here are three of my current favourites on-site, and why they deserve a place in your wardrobe this summer season and beyond.

Oozing old Hollywood glamour, this marigold yellow striped dress is giving me serious Monaco energy. Where’s my yacht? Where’s my Tiffany diamond necklace? In this, only the finest will do. Alongside the iconic fringing Taller Marmo is known for, its elegant column-like shape and striped print elongate the body. You can dress it down with chunky sandals, or colour pop with contrasting fuschia heels.

Grecian Goddess, here we come. I love this simple white dress – its halterneck is flattering and its fringing gives it a subtle point of difference without taking away from its marvellous simplicity. Plus, in the light, the fabric has a beautiful sheen (another luxurious bonus). This dress deserves a sun soaked location like the Maldives. Pair it with simple gold heels.

On holiday I like to have one item that I can easily throw on over my swimwear that’s glamorous enough for a poolside lunch, but casual enough so that if I need to do a quick house chore or pop to the local village shop, it's acceptable. Enter this bright yellow kaftan. Comfortable, flowy perfection.
