Hats are divisive. To some of us, they offer instant incognito mode and an outfit at completion; to others, hat hair. Normally, we too would be concerned about hat hair, but as we enter our IDGAF season, things have changed.

It’s not that we’ve stopped caring, it’s that we’ve stopped caring about things that are easily fixed – like hat hair. What has no easy fix, however, is a burnt scalp and forehead. Beyond the initial peeling and rightful embarrassment, both of these can cause long term skin damage, which no one really wants.
